I'm from California, and every time I'm in Vancouver, I make a point to come here for ramen. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Mazesoba Ramen Deluxe, with pork, and a side of rice. One of my favorite parts is mixing the chili powder, white vinegar, and egg yolk before diving in—it's an incredible flavor combo. The noodles are perfectly chewy, and the mix of seasonings really makes the dish stand out, especially with the touch of vinegar that brightens everything up. There is also an assortment of appetizers and desserts. The atmosphere is usually always calm and never too crowded at this location. We got seated right away, and our food arrived in about 10–15 minutes. For two people, including tip, we spent around 38 USD, which felt like a great deal for the quality and experience. Highly recommend if you're a ramen lover or want something unique and delicious!

Unlike the other insulting overpriced noodle place in the neighborhood, Kokoro's price is decent, food is amazing. They even have low carbs noodles option! I like it so much I tried the whole menu. Hands down my favourite comfort food restaurant in the neighborhood.

Kokoro in River District is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of Japanese dishes that are both authentic and flavorful. One of the best things about this place is the generous portion sizes—each meal is packed with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. It’s clear that they focus on quality while maintaining a reasonable price, making it a great spot for anyone looking for delicious yet affordable Japanese food. The food here is simply amazing! Every dish is well-seasoned, balanced, and full of rich, umami flavors. Whether you go for their signature donburi, ramen, or other Japanese specialties, you’re guaranteed a satisfying meal. The textures and flavors work perfectly together, and you can tell that everything is made with care. What stands out the most is how fresh and healthy the food feels—it’s not overly greasy, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Another great thing about Kokoro is the value for money. Finding a restaurant that serves such large portions at a reasonable price is rare, especially with this level of taste and quality. It’s the kind of place where you leave feeling completely satisfied, both in terms of flavor and portion size. The friendly staff and fast service also add to the overall experience, making it a spot worth returning to again and again. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this place! I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys authentic Japanese cuisine. Whether you’re dining in or getting takeout, Kokoro never disappoints. If you’re in River District and craving a delicious, filling, and well-priced meal, this is the place to go!

The food is good. Not a big menu. Their food is Mazesoba style I prefer this. The sauce is good and you can XL for free. Also can get some rice to finish off the sauce at the end.

What a great find after wondering through a nearby trail in River District! This Kokoro has become our new preferred Kokoro location! Meeting up to the Kokoro name, the quality of food, taste, and presentation are no doubt 5-stars! What stands out is the location - it's exceptional! The size of the restaurant is bigger than all others, with patio seating, high ceiling, and glass windows all around with a very calming view of the inner streets. Because it's still fairly new, there weren't a lot of people during lunch hours - 12-2pm. For those with kids and ladies, the washroom is clean and very roomy. Tip: Niku Mazesoba has the most toppings (most meat!) at 16.50, which is cheaper than those with fewer toppings. Enjoy!

Our friends in the area told us about this Mazesoba chain while we were visiting, absolutely worth the stop! The soba noodles had a lovely chew and flavor and easily grabbed onto the flavors of the bowls. We tried 3 of their appetizers: karaage, the takoyaki, and the ebi, all of which were perfectly cooked and juicy. There are also smaller bowls for lighter lunch meals and you can select your noodle size, which is excellent for those of us who want to try multiple tapas.

I haven't been to this location before, the restaurant was very spacious and very nice. I tried their gyoza, it was so delicious. I could probably order a few to myself. I ordered the Zenbu Mazesoba XXL. It was too filling for me. So I packed it home to have another meal. Would recommend coming here!
